I dreamed I took pictures

Sometimes I see Advanced News and use my tie clip camera.

"Behind the glass frame is a portrait of three stacked targets in front of a backdrop of thick red and white stripes wrapped in a soft glow that hints at an approaching dusk. The scene is slightly patriotic, slightly menacing, simultaneously evoking pride and suspicion."

Here is the prize winner.

Very impressive. I'm waiting for my site to get more popular so I can give her maximum traffic when I link to her.

Hell, I might as well link to her now. I can always link again when my numbers so up.

So up? I mean "go up" of course.

And they will, by gum, they will.

(what is this, a dribble cup? choco-coffee all down my shirt.)

i'm impressed she knew what picture to submit. She has hundreds of course.

not surprised, impressed. Makes me believe in Art again. That there's something I might 'get' a flicker of understanding/ higher appreciation.

/but you know this is all about my being a social climber. And I KNOW she's getting invited to some serious parties now. Like, where money doesn't talk it gets up and walks around and offers to refresh your drink.

I thought the same thing while I was looking over her work (how to choose which photograph to use, that is).

When I used to write regularly, I was always surprised that people gravitated to the stuff that I thought was crap. I'd probably be a published author by now if I would have listened to my peers instead of my sense of "artistic integrity."

Anyway, she has some great stuff. I DID make a post featuring her work, by the way. After downloading about a dozen photographs, I decided to go with the prize winner to be on the safe side. Hope Renee doesn't mind.
