Notables

My friend at Chopready is back. Or maybe he hasn't been gone but his poem "Looking Back" grabbed at me. Also, Renee at Haphazardous earned some more recognition for another bare and not-mundane but mysterious photograph from Nowheresville. In color! (I'm going back to look now because my memory of the photo tells me suddenly that I liked the color).

Thanks, Johnny, but I have to make a correction. It was this photo, Remnants that got the nod. But I'm glad you liked that other one, too, because it's also a favorite of mine:)

renee i thought i was finally getting it. That cabinet, and your $ prize winner, and my can of soup.

one of these days i might read an article about the art. Any suggestion? Not technical but aesthetic wise, for our day and age...

Basically it's very subjective. I'm not sure I can even articulate it myself.

thought you might have some favorite, memorable essay up your sleeve or a favorite critic of photography. But I follow too close. Got to get my own vision.

I'm really loving my camera! Kind of like I could accidently do great. Be a "naieve" artist ! So maybe I shouldn't read what people say to do...

"original" I said. Amend that to "interesting". Nothing inherently good about "original".
